Spay & Neuter

A small procedure with big benefits.

Surgery can feel like a sensitive topic for pet owners, especially when their dog or cat is still young. However, spaying and neutering are important procedures that play a key role in maintaining your pet’s long-term health. These are among the most common surgeries performed in veterinary medicine. In addition to preventing unplanned litters, they also help reduce a range of health and behavioural concerns, including:

  • Eliminating heat cycles and spotting in females

  • Lowering the risk of mammary tumours in females

  • Preventing uterine infections and certain cancers in females

  • Decreasing roaming behaviour in both males and females

  • Reducing aggression in males

  • Minimizing mounting and marking/spraying behaviours in males

  • Preventing testicular tumours in males

  • Reducing the likelihood of some prostate issues in male

Spaying and neutering also help address pet overpopulation. Many unplanned litters lead to animals that cannot be properly cared for, often ending up in shelters. By choosing to spay or neuter your pet, you’re helping reduce the number of homeless animals and improving the chances for shelter pets to find permanent, loving homes.

Soft Tissue Surgery

Mass removals, wound repairs, abdominal surgery, etc.

We offer a range of surgical procedures in a clean, safe setting, with a strong focus on patient care. During every surgery, our veterinary team carefully monitors your pet’s vital signs to ensure their safety throughout the procedure.

Soft tissue surgery covers any non-orthopeadic procedure and includes a wide variety of treatments, from routine lump or cyst removals to more advanced operations. These procedures may involve areas such as the ears, nose, and throat; digestive system; urinary and urogenital systems; as well as skin reconstruction and cancer-related surgeries.
